Pernille Kurzmann Larsen from Netflix’s The Nurse was the one who exposed her colleague, Christina Aistrup Hansen, after she noticed Christina’s presence among all the patients who died unexpectedly. Here’s her complete Wikipedia with her real-life photos (images).

The Danish true-crime television series on Netflix, The Nurse, chronicles the true stories of Christina Aistrup Hansen and Pernille Kurzmann Larsen. The series is inspired by a book titled The Nurse: Inside Denmark’s Most Sensational Criminal Trial, written by renowned crime author Kristian Corfixen. The non-fiction book and series are strongly grounded in the awful crimes that actually occurred.

It doesn’t take long for the two ladies to earn the nickname “dream team” as they continue to save people experiencing cardiac arrest. However, once Pernille starts observing Christina’s self-obsession, all celebrations are left behind. Chaos results when she subsequently learns startling facts that show the victims shouldn’t have initially experienced cardiac arrests.

Apart from what happens in the show, many people are interested to know about Pernille Larsen in detail. Well, here’s her complete Wikipedia.

Pernille Kurzmann Larsen From The Nurse: Here’s How Shoe Exposed Christina Aistrup Hansen!

As you might be aware, Pernille Kurzmann Larsen from Netflix’s The Nurse is completely based on a real-life person of the same name. She actually began working at Nykbing Falster Hospital in 2014. She often teamed up with Christina during the night shifts. A few months following her appointment, she started to observe the deaths of numerous patients, who unexpectedly stopped breathing without a reasonable cause. She also noticed Christina’s presence among the same patients, which made her suspect her colleague’s involvement in those deaths.

Pernille thought Christine was killing the patients on purpose. She even discussed her concerns with both her partner and doctor Niels Lundén. However, everyone wanted to avoid falsely accusing a colleague, despite her desire to learn the truth about the deaths.

Pernille’s concerns were raised when she discovered diazepam traces in the side port of a patient named Viggo Holm Petersen. She began to suspect that the unexplained deaths in the ER were the result of diazepam injections. Viggo was one of several patients who died in the emergency room within a few hours of each other, all while Christina was working. Pernille made a breakthrough in her “secret investigation” when she discovered a syringe containing possible traces of diazepam in the room of a patient named Maggi Margrethe Rasmussen shortly after Christina left the room.

More people had died in the ER by the time Pernille discovered the syringe. When Maggi’s condition worsened, Niels informed her that it was time to call the police. She then informed the cops that three patients (Viggo, Anna Lise, and Svend Aage) died in the ER within twelve hours, while a fourth (Maggi) was rescued from death. As per Corfixen’s book, the police officers wrote:

The witness [Pernille] states that she for some time has suspected another nurse—Christina Aistrup Hansen—of abusing her position: the witness suspects that her colleague had given the patients medication which caused their deaths/cardiac arrest.

According to the police complaint, Pernille observed Christina enter Maggi’s room with two syringes that were larger than the ones generally used in the ER. Pernille was the most essential witness in Christina’s case when she was on trial. Her testimony appears to have been crucial in the former’s conviction. However, where is Pernille now?

Pernille Kurzmann Larsen is still employed at the Nykbing Falster Hospital in Southern Denmark’s emergency department. Her role in Christina’s case had a significant impact on her life after the latter’s arrest. However, she was criticized for exposing her colleague. She had to listen to everyone around her call her a backstabber.

Pernille learned that several of her colleagues were afraid of entering the emergency department with a syringe because they assumed the former would also report them to the police. Pernille, however, remained to work in the same hospital.

And she later married Niels Lundén. The couple moved to Maribo, which is located in the Lolland Municipality. They both had children from prior relationships and lived with them. Soon after, the couple welcomed a child together. Her husband Niels, on the other hand, departed the Nykbing Falster Hospital because he could not accept how the hospital management handled Christina’s condition. Pernille spoke with Corfixen for the latter’s book, which provided the basis for the series. Speaking to the author, she said:

I have been left in a vacuum, where the only thing people have to refer to is the media articles about a possible love triangle. I need to know that my story is made available to the public. So that people at least have an opportunity to understand that I am not the ice-cold hobby detective I have been presented as being in court.
