Update: Tough Enough Competitors Respond To Reports Of Trouble Pasts Being Reasons For Not Get

June 2024 · 1 minute read

wwe tough enoughIt was reportedly earlier today that Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer had incorrectly referenced Giorgia “GiGi” Piscina instead of her castmate Gabi Castrovinci in a story.

It was originally reported that “GiGi” (now intended to be Gabi) did not get a WWE contract offer because of something in her past, that was unknown, but apparently was bad enough that WWE would not approach her for a deal. The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter had noted this Tough Enough alum had something troubling enough in her past that WWE would proceed with a hands off approach.

Following the correction and update by Meltzer shortly after publication, both Giorgia Piscina and Gabi Castrovinci responded to the original and clarified reports where they were named. Both GiGi and Gabi refute the original claims, and responded with the following on their respective social media accounts:

I can assure u there is nothing “BIG” in my past that would have caused #WWE not 2 sign me. Unless being a quiet straight A student is “big”
