John was most recently featured in the Sundance Film Festival’s screening of Bosch: Legacy (2022). Aside from that, the late actor participated in shows such as 9-1-1: Lone Star, Breaking Bad, The Mentalist, and Criminal Minds.
A great friend and an excellent actor gone way too soon. Thank you so much to @THR and @MikeBarnes4 for giving our friend a true Hollywood sendoff. And to @captainblackusa for the great idea. Your name in lights one more time, John. Love you pal. RIP. https://t.co/FuOkYDSAJX

The roles of John Zderko in The Mentalist and Criminal Minds
Two of John’s most well-known roles were on the CBS network’s police procedural crime dramas The Mentalist and Criminal Minds (some episodes inspired by true events). Both performances took place in the year 2012. Zderko appeared as an anonymous member of the ‘Inner Circle’ in Season 4 Episode 16, “His Thoughts Were Red Thoughts” (2012). The figure made a short appearance at an Inner Circle conference presided over by the character Jason Cooper.
The conference was then abruptly interrupted by Bret Stiles and the protagonist, Patrick Jane. As a result, Zderko’s character stays unidentified. In contrast, John Zderko’s character on Criminal Minds has a name: Dominic Maguire, Suzie Maguire’s husband. The pair appeared in Season 7, Episode 20, “The Company,” a story about criminal Malcolm Ford and Derek Morgan’s cousin Cindi Burns.
Dominic and Suzie are shown as a sadomasochistic pair who protect Malcolm Ford and his victim Cindi. The pair also helped the thief hide Malcolm’s vehicle and promised to aid him in escaping. Mr. Maguire also gave Ford the phone number of someone who may assist him in getting to Toronto.

The actor from Bosch: Legacy grew up in Ohio, Colorado, and New Jersey. He subsequently enrolled at Park Ridge High School and was a member of a high school squad that included The Sopranos’ James Gandolfini. Zderko initially concentrated on creating a business career and did not pursue performing roles. However, he continued to take acting lessons at the University of California, Los Angeles, and eventually abandoned his job to pursue a career as an actor.
Zderko’s first on-screen debut was in 2005, after beginning as a stage performer and progressing to parts in TV series and movies. As previously said, Zderko’s untimely death was verified by his actor buddy Charley Koontz, who also informed The Hollywood Reporter. John is survived by his sister, brother-in-law, and two nephews, according to the famed American magazine.
