He annnouced he will not be seeking reelection. FINALLY!

by Anonymousreply 1November 16, 2023 5:00 PM

"Investigators found that Mr. Santos transferred at least $200,000 to himself from RedStone spread over numerous transactions in 2022. That money was then used to pay off personal credit cards, make purchases at Hermes and Sephora, and spent on OnlyFans, a website known for its adult content." NYT

by Anonymousreply 2November 16, 2023 5:01 PM

Don’t believe a word this one says!

by Anonymousreply 3November 16, 2023 5:03 PM

YOU WON'T HAVE ME TO KICK AROUND ANYMORE!

by Anonymousreply 4November 16, 2023 5:04 PM

Kitara reminds me of every small town gay who comes to the big city and tries to act all "uppity" with her fussy hair and fancy shoes when everyone knows she's just poor white trash. Should have just stayed on the pole girl it would have turned out a whole lot better for you.

by Anonymousreply 5November 16, 2023 5:09 PM

[quote] That money was then used to pay off personal credit cards, make purchases at Hermes and Sephora, and spent on OnlyFans

Well that figures.

Could this rotten queen be any more of a gross stereotype?

by Anonymousreply 8November 16, 2023 5:16 PM

She's BEEN in trouble. This queen is in deep shit.

by Anonymousreply 9November 16, 2023 5:17 PM

As long as he didn’t murder another Republican it’s okay.

by Anonymousreply 10November 16, 2023 5:19 PM

Like any finding from the House Ethics committee (ha! what a farce that is under Republican rule) will have any impact on Miss Rivache. The House will not vote to expel him because everyone from MAGA Mike to the janitor who cleans the Republican mess off the walls and floor of the House men's toilet stalls knows that if he's removed there'll have to be a special election in which a Democrat will win thereby reducing the 'thug's majority to a mere 2 votes.

by Anonymousreply 11November 16, 2023 5:21 PM

R10. Oh, actually he would’ve even be in trouble if he murdered the right republican.

by Anonymousreply 12November 16, 2023 5:27 PM

He was using campaign funds for Only Fans and made a withdrawal at a casino ATM.

Republicans are the party of fiscal conservatism!

[quote] Could this rotten queen be any more of a gross stereotype?

Ahem! What about my Downton Abbey office?

by Anonymousreply 14November 16, 2023 5:29 PM

WTF isn't he being prosecuted by the Justice Dept? Or NY State? Why would they need Congress' approval? I really don't get how this works.

by Anonymousreply 15November 16, 2023 5:37 PM

I want to know what OnlyFans he subscribes to.

by Anonymousreply 16November 16, 2023 5:39 PM

There’s gotta be hustler stories

by Anonymousreply 17November 16, 2023 5:41 PM

He has the Trump mentality in that he thinks nothing will happen to him and he is above the law.

They both wanted fame and power but at what expense....you bitches are going to JAIL!

by Anonymousreply 18November 16, 2023 5:46 PM

R16, do you? I definitely don't want to see what she fingers his pussy to.

by Anonymousreply 19November 16, 2023 5:53 PM

We laugh. But trust me, there are MANY queens out there who think trips to Atlantic City, Botox spas, and OnlyFans subscriptions are living your absolute best life possible.

by Anonymousreply 20November 16, 2023 6:12 PM

I get a hunch that he and Bobby Trendy would be really good friends. Perhaps even more!

by Anonymousreply 21November 16, 2023 6:13 PM

Reading the report. He was embezzling ENORMOUS amounts, repeatedly.

by Anonymousreply 22November 16, 2023 6:15 PM

Well for sure we know he wasn't spending all that money on Ozempic

by Anonymousreply 28November 16, 2023 6:25 PM

Not, R20, when living your "best life" will shortly lead to jail time.

by Anonymousreply 36November 16, 2023 6:41 PM

He first needs to be sentenced to a long term in-patient psychiatric hospital and then once he's deemed sane he should be sent to a prison to serve out his sentence.

^^^Yes! I want to hear someone tell the truth just once!

by Anonymousreply 41November 16, 2023 7:00 PM

by Anonymousreply 42November 16, 2023 7:05 PM

R15 are you really that stupid? I guess you are.

by Anonymousreply 43November 16, 2023 7:24 PM

So, WHERE did he get this kind of money?

Dumb rethug voters? Or someone else? Some big, gay, rethug mega donor? And what did Kitara promise in return for such generous donations?

by Anonymousreply 44November 16, 2023 7:33 PM

Maybe there’s been a deal for him to escape to Brazil once his term is over. “Look, just drop your re-election bid and we’ll let you accidentally on purpose get on a one way flight to Rio.

Because…we never even found out if he’s an American citizen, did we? We don’t know where that money came from. Why not? Who gave it to him? My money is on Ron Lauder via shell corps. Lauder thought Santos was Jewish. Lauder gave Jewish GOP candidate Lee Zeldin $11M to run for senate.

by Anonymousreply 50November 16, 2023 7:48 PM

The House is going to vote again on expelling the fool, right after they return from the Thanksgiving break. Apparently there is renewed interest in kicking him out. I'm betting they'll succeed next time seeing as they have that damning report that just came in.

by Anonymousreply 52November 16, 2023 8:14 PM

Rethugs who want to keep him in Congress should be forced to publicly defend him on the floor.

by Anonymousreply 53November 16, 2023 8:21 PM

There were Democrats who wouldn't expel him last time also.

by Anonymousreply 54November 16, 2023 8:36 PM

He will be expelled this time. Many Republicans were looking for the results of the investigation first.

by Anonymousreply 55November 16, 2023 8:45 PM

And yet they will nominate a man who has done everything George has done a million times more.

by Anonymousreply 56November 16, 2023 8:46 PM

The only thing that gonna happen is he will find a much more profitable career in corporate lobbying.

by Anonymousreply 57November 16, 2023 8:51 PM

Nah, no lobbying firm wants the guy. He’s a joke.

by Anonymousreply 59November 16, 2023 8:52 PM

"Do you know who I am?" George snarled, "Neither do I. I might be Leonardo DiCaprio!"

by Anonymousreply 62November 16, 2023 8:59 PM

Now when are we gonna get the House ethics report on Matt Gaetz?

by Anonymousreply 63November 16, 2023 9:02 PM

So no, the benefits won’t continue after his one term.

by Anonymousreply 78November 16, 2023 9:55 PM

by Anonymousreply 80November 16, 2023 10:26 PM

Each donor sent $25,000 to RedStone — but instead of going for TV ads, the money went into Santos’ bank accounts, from which it was used to, the committee said, “pay down personal credit card bills and other debt; make a $4,127.80 purchase at Hermes; and for smaller purchases at Only Fans [sic]; Sephora; and for meals and for parking.”

In March, Santos denied any knowledge of OnlyFans — a subscription service where users can pay for X-rated photos and videos from models.

Don't Only Fans accounts usually just run to $10-20/month? How many accounts does he have for fuckssakes??

by Anonymousreply 98November 17, 2023 3:00 AM

R98, he has one under the name George Santos, another as Anthony Devolder, and then a third one as "Kitara Ravache"

by Anonymousreply 99November 17, 2023 3:12 AM

Yes, some of these Onlyfans folks charge $20 or more per month. R98, Kitara only needs one account, but he likely subscribes to a lot of “content creators.” And those monthly fees can add up. The bizarre thing is that you can pay a lot in monthly subscription fees and — since many accounts are PPV — you wind up paying twice: once for access to their pages, and then again for individual videos. Thus, you have the privilege of paying a whole lot of money before you actually see these guys having sex or doing anything. If it sounds like a scam, it’s because it really kind of is in a lot of cases. Not all, but enough.

by Anonymousreply 100November 17, 2023 3:15 AM

by Anonymousreply 105November 17, 2023 3:45 AM

R54, the reason some Democrats didn't vote to expel him (the majority of them did) was to allow every opportunity to avoid a precedent of expelling him before the Ethics Committee report and having all the evidence submitted by a bipartisan panel to show they weren't being partisan. It makes sense what they did. They knew this day was coming and they were biding their time.

by Anonymousreply 114November 17, 2023 10:38 AM

Unauthorized credit card use in the amount of 12 thousand dollars

by Anonymousreply 115November 17, 2023 11:26 AM

In the updated indictment, prosecutors accuse Santos of charging more than $44,000 to his campaign over a period of months using cards belonging to contributors without their knowledge. In one case, he charged $12,000 to a contributor’s credit card and transferred the “vast majority” of that money into his personal bank account, prosecutors said.

Santos is also accused of falsely reporting to the Federal Elections Commission that he had loaned his campaign $500,000 when he actually hadn't given anything and had less than $8,000 in the bank. The fake loan was an attempt to convince Republican Party officials that he was a serious candidate, worth their financial support, the indictment said.

by Anonymousreply 129November 17, 2023 4:34 PM

There’s a good chance a Republican will win his seat. It was redistricted to favor republicans by a conservative GOP judge who was appointed by turncoat Andrew Cuomo. Cuomo’s only goal in office was to keep getting reeectrd and he managed it by kowtowing to GOP so he’d get those upstate votes.

And look how well that worked on for Cuomo in the end, lol. RogerStone took him down

Santos' sugar daddy:

When examining one of the footnotes and two appendix items in the fine print of the report, the Beast discovered that the Devolder Organization's large donations to Santos' Congressional campaign account ultimately came from Miami, Florida-based attorney John Ruiz, the founder of a Medicare litigation firm. With a net worth of $1.5 billion, Ruiz is ranked #1,905 on Forbes' 2023 billionaires' list. Ruiz used a shell company, A-RU Holdings, to make a $250,000 payment to Devolder.

[quote]Clearly not everyone in FL given that a majority of FL voters voted him in.

Did you read my post, R144? I knew NO ONE who voted for Rick Scott. And believe me when I tell you that I do not live surrounded by Democrats. I believe in my heart (and always will) that the elections in Florida have been rigged for over 20 years.

I used to show my students a YouTube by a computer programmer by the name of Clint Curtis. At the time this happened, he was a registered Republican. His employer came to him and asked him how difficult it would be to write code for the voting machines that would "flip" the vote. He told them even that a baby programmer could do that. He assumed that they needed it because the Democrats were cheating -- but when he checked it out, he realized that this was so the Rs could cheat! He left that job and did not do the work -- but somebody did.

What struck me was when he said that his people had told him, "Look -- the Republicans don't have to win in a landslide -- they can win by as little as 1% and it's still a win." Now, go back and check the percentages most Republicans win by in Florida and see if you don't believe that man was telling the truth.

Most of his stuff has been wiped off the internet. But a film was made about his experience -- maybe you can dig it up somewhere. He even tried to run for Congress, but he was shut down fairly quickly.

He testified to what happened to Congress, even! But they shuffled him off back to Florida, of course -- and nothing was done. Oh, well.

oh god, you really are a tin hatter. Just as bad as Trump and his bogus claims about the election.

[quote]I knew NO ONE who voted for Rick Scott.

You just don't mix with people unlike you. That's all.

Nice try, asshole. I am a blue dot in a red county. But keep talking shit about shit you know nothing about.

And this happened 20 years ago, long before conspiracies became the common people's entertainment.

R150 Are you the senior lesbian who lives in a trailer park in FL? People in a trailer park are poor, why would they want to vote for Rick Scott?

by Anonymousreply 152November 18, 2023 12:59 AM

They didn't!

Here's the link, which I'm sure you folks could have found on your own. Like I said, there was no Q or conspiracy types back then. Scoff if you will, but do the research. But if course, you can't be bothered.

I have a hard time believing that anyone would vote for marble mouthed weirdo Rick Scott who has ZERO charisma. Then again, 74 million people voted for Trump after 4 years of his nonsense, criminality, and corruption.

I tend to believe senior lesbian only because of how badly republicans project. If they’re accusing Dems of cheating, it’s only because they themselves are.
